Today I took the kids in for both of their first haircuts. We've been letting Addie's grow as much as we could for the past two and a half years, but figured it needed some shaping. Glenda has become a very good friend of mine and she is also a wonderful hair stylist so I brought the kids to her shop in Langtoft. She was so great with them and made the whole experience so amazing. I brought along my camera and little baggies labelled with each kid's name and "First Haircut" written on the outside and Glenda had a little certificate for them that said "Baby's First Haircut."
Addison actually had quite a long patch in the back of her head but to make it all nice it had to go away. It' so hard for a mother who's been waiting this long for her daughter's hair to grow to watch it get cut off, but Glenda was a great coach.
Addison got the full beauty treatment of having her hair clipped up...
Her fringe (bangs) trimmed up...
And at the end a blow dry style....
How sleek!!!
I was a little nervous how Harry was going to do but he was perfect. As soon as he got in the seat he just stared at himself in the mirror. He looked so adorable with this little head sticking out of the yellow apron. Harry's longest little patch was right on top of his head so Glenda got a little help trying to catch my "first haircut" samples to save.
My two little gems after their first haircuts. I was so proud of them. Addie was so full of smiles but I couldn't break a grin out of Harry. I think he was still in shock about the whole experience...what a silly boy!
