This afternoon I got a notice in our mail slot from our neighbor's that their car had been stolen this morning right out of his own drive way. It has been quite chilly the past couple of weeks so everyone has been going out to start their cars to warm them up...pretty typical thing to even do in the States. Well he went into the house for 1-2 minutes and when he came back his car was gone. What a total bummer for them. This totally freaked me out because Kevin has been going out to start his car every morning for the past two weeks...guess I'll make him sit in it and fight of the cold like a real man.
I told Kevin about the car when he got home and now he is totally paranoid. He's talking about hooking up a web cam outside and taping the street now...he's so silly. We do plan on locking up things a little better and being more cautious but in talking with a few of our neighbors, it's just unheard of to have something like this happen in our neighborhood. Kevin has been picking our babysitter Emily because her dad is a police office and jabbing at her about the lack of safety in a neighborhood with a cop living next door...
Maybe a remote starter would be a good thing now days...
