This is the first year in a long time that the whole family has been able to be together for Christmas and there are lots of new faces!!! Bo and Harrison and I finally got to meet Jordan (my cousin Whitney's fiance who Addison will be their flower girl come July 09). Grandpa was definitely with us in spirit as he always is. This year grandma gave some of us grandkids (meaning my generation) a very, very special gift. She hand wrote out about 50 family recipes in a special cookbook. One of the recipes was grandpa's BBQ sauce in which he wrote down except for his "special" ingredient that he didn't even tell Grandma what it was, so it's our job to figure it out. I had been working most of our time back to gather some family recipes to put together a book for myself and for my kiddos when they get older....Grandma already did her homework for me and then some. Thank you grandma...this is a gift that will be treasured always especially because we all love your "signature" handwriting.
