In Russia on a Boat

Well, today we decided to take it easy as we needed to build up our energy for the next two days in Finland and Sweden. I do have to say that one of the greatest things about this trip is that it has really forced Kevin and I to just sit and spend time with our kids without any distractions of work, house matters, the internet, the phone and more. Today we got up late, went and played at the Under 2 Zoo and went to the games room to play Cooties and chess/checkers with the kids. After lunch the kids and I went to take a long nap while Kevin went out on the ship to read.

Before dinner we went to a free show put on by the Russian Military Ensemble. There was a mixture of traditional folk songs, music and dancing. It was really neat to experience that little bit of Russian culture.

Our favorite bit was most definitely the dancers.

At dinner we finally got the kids to eat some green veggies after eating plain pasta and French fries for almost the whole past week. I have to say that it is nice that the wait staff tries to entertain our children, but at dinner time they just need to leave it alone so they will sit and eat something!!!! Ahhhh!!!!

Once the ship set sail for the night we could bring the kids to the Kid's Club. Kevin and I snuck off to find a nice quiet place to play cribbage, when all of a sudden we heard a squealing sound that sounded just like our children. Funny enough it was our kids! We were sitting on the edge of the atrium and they were on the floor just below us. They were sporting super hero capes and were making their way around the ship with the KC people. The counselors saw us and tried diverting the kids the opposite direction but one of the other little boys saw us and knew we were Harry and Addie's mom and dad so he ran right over to us...so much for a quiet evening.
